The Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) process allows parts to be made direct from 3D CAD to thermoplastic materials without tooling.
CRDM have now started offering in house FDM parts. Printing actual ‘ABS’ material and available in very short timescales.
FDM is a fast and cost effective process great for proving designs, fit and function testing, small production runs, jigs and fixtures.
Material samples are available on request.
Advantages of FDM models…
- Actual ABS material
- Cost effective
- From 24 hour turnaround
- Available in black or white
- Very low component distortion
Some considerations…

- General tolerance of ± 0.08mm in the X / Y axis and a minimum ± 0.25mm in the Z axis
- Maximum build size 204 x 204 x 153mm
